In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative, reliable and scalable crop protection formulations, working across functions and applying science to support a more sustainable agriculture.\nWhat you will do\nDesign, develop and optimise agrochemical formulations.\nPlan, perform and document laboratory experiments in line with project objectives and established protocols.\nAssess the physical, chemical and storage-stability properties of formulation prototypes.\nAnalyse experimental data, interpret results and propose technical recommendations or corrective actions.\nInvestigate formulation challenges and help identify and implement effective solutions.\nPrepare accurate technical reports, experimental records and presentations.\nCollaborate closely with Analytical, Regulatory, Production and other R&D teams.\nSupport formulation scale-up from laboratory to pilot or manufacturing scale, where required.\nEnsure full compliance with laboratory safety standards, GLP principles and applicable environmental requirements.\nWho we are looking for\nWe are looking for a curious, rigorous and practical scientist who can turn experimental observations into clear technical solutions. You are collaborative, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.\nEssential requirements\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biotechnology or a related scientific discipline.\nAt least one year of relevant experience in formulation development, a chemical laboratory or an industrial R&D environment.\nGood understanding of formulation principles, including surfactants, solvents, adjuvants and rheology modifiers.\nHands-on experience with formulation systems and laboratory experimentation.\nAbility to plan experiments, analyse data and draw evidence-based conclusions.\nStrong organisational, problem-solving and technical communication skills.\nGood written and spoken English.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic laboratory or data-recording systems.\nIt would be a plus if you have\nPrevious experience in agrochemical formulation development or another regulated chemical industry.\nExperience with active ingredients and formulation performance testing.\nExposure to scale-up, technology transfer or collaboration with manufacturing teams.\nKnowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE) and statistical data analysis.\nFamiliarity with regulatory requirements for agrochemical products.\nInterest in sustainability, innovation and green chemistry principles.\nWhat we offer\nYou will join an international and inclusive working environment where scientific expertise, collaboration and innovation come together to make a tangible difference.\nThis is a fixed-term maternity-cover position.
