To support this mission, Syngenta’s Global Continuous Nursery team is seeking a Research Associate in Puerto Vallarta.\nAccountabilities\nSupervise all Corn Technician and temporaries appropriately to ensure the KPIs.\nImplement/develop new projects.\nActive communication with Agronomy and Operations teams to ensuring key issues are escalated in a timely manner.\nIdentify ,train and develop Research Technician to maximize their supervision skills and team integration and attention to details when leading fields.\nResponsible for planting, pollinations, detasseling and harvesting of all nurseries.\nPartner with Crop Lead in the planning of supplies and people resources. (temporary employes).\nMake crop updates and communicate important issues to Crop Lead.\nMeasure, track, improve and communicate crop performance through globally consistent & aligned Operational KPI’s\nActive participation in the Planning part of Crop activities to share ideas and drive continuous improvement mindset\n Required\nBS in Agronomy, Biotechnology, Corn, Breeding or related field or in relevant science with a track-record of delivery.\nGood understanding of agriculture, crop management and plant breeding principles.\nKnowledge of seed crop research, production, and quality assurance practices.\nKnowledge and experience in corn, soybean, and sunflower seed production.\nKnowledge of and ability to use computer software for data management.\nCommunication skills with experience in people management.\nQuality and effectiveness of communication and collaboration with all stakeholders. · Excellent skills for interpreting research data.\nDesired\nM.S. in agriculture crop science or biology related to field (desired).\nAbility to use MS Office, especially Word, Excel, Power Point, and other standard office software\nEnglish proficient written and speaking.\nCross-cultural skills.\nTravel availability (national and international).\nDriver´s license.\nFlexible schedule to work over extended hours, weekends, and holidays.\n What We Offer\n- A culture that celebrates diversity & inclusion, promotes professional development, and strives for a work-life balance that supports the team members.
