Define test requirements and automate test procedures to help create and maintain an exceptional user experience for Syniverse’s customers.The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective.\n-\nSome of What You'll Do\nScope of the Role:\nDirect Reports: This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports \nKey Responsibilities\nVerify component, system integration and application level features and functionality to ensure our reliability, accuracy and performance reaches our standards for quality. \nVerify, deploy and maintain automated test cases. \nContribute to existing tools, frameworks and related solutions. \nImprove our delivered product quality across our entire platform and applications. \nAssist with the team’s test effort from planning and organization to execution and delivery. \nDevelop effective test strategies. \nWork with team members to keep testing at the forefront of our SDLC. \nDrive further adoption of unit/integration/system testing using cucumber and selenium or any other automation tool, metrics to monitor code coverage, bug prevention strategies, and other quality measures. \nPartner with Software Developers, Product Managers, and other Test Engineers to identify the components of the system to be automated. \nDuties and Requirements Specific to “Software Development Engineer in Test”: Plan, design, develop, verify, deploy and maintain automated test cases. \nIncrease and improve our automated test coverage. \nLeverage new open source solutions to build new tools that test things in new ways. \nWrite moderately complex code to test systems. \nExperience, Education, and Certifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field \n5 years using test automation frameworks ie: Cucumber, FitNesse, TestNG, and Selenium \n5 years’ experience with Source Code Management like CVS, Git or SubVersion \n3+ years of experience writing tests in Java and/or JUnit development. \n-\nWhy You Should Join Us\nJoin us as we write a new chapter, guided by world-class leadership.
