Python will be used for services, automation, and integrations with Jenkins, GitHub or Azure DevOps Server, Black Duck, and JFrog.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nThe engineer delivers reliable platform domains that support Perforce and C/C++ product teams, maintains trustworthy data, reduces manual governance work, and enables stable integrations through well-tested interfaces.\nKey Qualifications\nBachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, information security, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\nStrong hands-on software engineering experience in C and C++.\nHands-on experience with Perforce in a production software-development environment.\nExperience with Python for automation, integration, services, or data-processing tasks.\nExperience with Jenkins and with at least one ofGitHub or Azure DevOps Server.\nExperience using Black Duck and JFrogin SSDLC, software composition analysis, artifact management, or software supply-chainworkflows.\nAbility to support products that use programming languages and build ecosystems beyond C, C++, and Python.\nAbility to communicate complex technical decisions clearly in English.\nStrong experience designing APIs, relational or document-oriented data models, and data-intensive backend services.\nExperience with authentication, authorization, role-based access, and secure API design.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn backend services for component records, decisions, evidence, and workflow state.\nDesign data models for packages, versions, dependencies, vulnerabilities, licenses, approvals, and exceptions.\nDevelop integrations with Perforce, Jenkins, Black Duck, and JFrog.\nSupport GitHub and Azure DevOps Server integrations where product workflows require them.\nImplement review, approval, exception, renewal, and audit workflows.\nLead design reviews, testing strategy, diagnostics, and operational readiness.\nMentor engineers and improve shared engineering patterns.\nPreferred Experience\nKnowledge of package URL, SPDX, CycloneDX, SBOM, or VEX.\nExperience with event-driven architecture, queues, search platforms, or graph databases.\nAt Synopsys, we want talented people of every background to feel valued and supported to do their best work.
