On a day-to-day basis the work allocation and functional reporting line will be into the Technical Operations Manager responsible for management of the Underwriting Controls capability.Your Tasks:\nCoordinate the Proportional Treaty statement process, ensuring accurate booking of claims and premiums within company system\nMonitor, track and chase the receipt of Proportional Treaty statements\nInvestigate and resolve booked vs accounted premium variances\nAdvise data entry teams on process for entry of complex &/or unique endorsements or contract adjustments\nSupport internal & external by providing evidence of controls and ensuring all operations align with regulatory standards and internal underwriting guidelines\nDevelop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and underwriting policies to reflect current best practices\nEnsure all operational activities meet or exceed agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nIdentify opportunities to automate or enhance underwriting control processes\nAssist with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed across Underwriting Operations\nIdentify and implement opportunities for automation or process enhancements to reduce manual intervention and strengthen the control environment\nPersonality requirements and skills\nRelevant (re)insurance industry experience, specifically within the Underwriting Community\nStrong understanding of insurance documentation, slips, wordings, and varied (re)insurance structures\nAbility to analyse bordereaux and treaty statements and liaise with brokers, cover holders and third parties\nExcellent computer literacy with a particular focus on data analysis\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure\nAbility to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders, including brokers, underwriters, and third-party partners\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nProven problem-solving ability with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach\nStrong interpersonal skills, with experience building and maintaining positive working relationships\nNice to have:\nExperience with numerous lines of commercial insurance and reinsurance\nPossesses a continuous improvement mindset evidenced through a qualification such as Lean Six Sigma or similar\nData profiling and root cause analysis skills\n Benefits\nFive extra vacation days on top of regulation\nSick leave compensation 100% from day one\n3 sick days per year\nAttractive performance bonus based on project performance up to 10%\nCafeteria benefit system with a flexible allowance of 500 EUR per year for education, health benefits, shopping, travel, cultural activities, and sports options\nOvertime fully paid or compensated based on your preference\nA friendly and informal working environment\nWork-life balance with flexible working hours and the option to work from home (by agreement)\nDedicated time for individual training\nMultiSport card\nSalary starts at 1800 EUR and may vary based on your seniority level, skills, and experience.\nReady to go further?
