While acting as the technical interface between suppliers and engineering, they will investigate alternate component technologies and suppliers to reduce cost while improving component quality and reliability.\nResponsibilities:\nR&D Support:\nReview and approve Product Design Engineer’s component requests; advise engineering teams in analysis of Bill of Materials (BOMs) of existing products.\nEnsure adherence to SynQor’s component requirements including ESD, MSL, RoHS, and REACH compliance status.\nDesign, conduct, and document qualification test projects for new components which are being considered for new designs or additions to the SynQor AVL (Approved Vendor List).\nProcurement Support:\nIdentify and qualify alternative components that are form, fit, and function interchangeable with existing sources.\nProvide support to the Incoming Inspection QC Team, and Monitor and disposition non-conforming components via the MRB process.\nOperations and Quality Support:\nMonitor critical component obsolescence status and initiate critical action as required based upon component manufacturer change notifications.\nMonitor component yields, support component related production issues, initiate supplier failure analysis and monitor corrective action activities.\nEducation and Experience:Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or related field.\n3 years direct experience with component selection, reliability, and qualification preferred.\nRequired Skills:\n Expertise with electronic bench test and analysis equipment, circuit analysis and schematic diagrams.\nWorking knowledge of electronic component functionality, application, fabrication and construction techniques, component failure analysis techniques, and critical specifications that affect performance and reliability.\nWorking knowledge of analog and digital electronics is required;
