The successful candidate must have DC-DC converter or AC-DC converter design experience. The responsibilities of an experienced Field Application Engineer include:\nProviding technical support to customers by responding to their email inquiries and phone calls. This can include, for example, bench testing, analysis and simulation.\nProviding technical support to Quality and Reliability team.\nWriting or assisting with writing technical documents, including application notes, training materials, technical marketing materials, and product datasheets.\nPerforming lab testing in support of customer inquiries and technical documentation.\nDesign and validate evaluation boards and other test hardware.\nSkills and Experience:\nRequired: \nBS or MS in Electrical Engineering.\nMinimum of five years of experience working with power electronics.\nUnderstand analog and power electronics.\nUnderstand DC/DC, AC/DC, and DC/AC power converters.\nUnderstand mechanical and thermal performance parameters.\nAbility to evaluate power circuit designs and apply analytical problem solving skills.\nAbility to operate various types of lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, multimeters, and soldering equipment.\nAbility to use MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nGood communication skills, both verbal and written.\nGood social skills, works well in a team environment.\nWilling to learn new things and be flexible.\nLikes a variety of assignments.\nStrong work ethic and self-starter, requiring minimal supervision.\nWell organized, detail oriented.\nDesired: \nUnderstand various industrial, medical, telecom, and military power specifications.\nAbility to use schematic capture and PCB layout software a plus.\nAbility to use simulation and analysis tools such as MathCad, Spice,
