Je vertaalt functionele specificaties naar overzichtelijke PLC-software en helpt machines veilig en betrouwbaar te laten bewegen. Daarbij werk je bijvoorbeeld met Siemens S7 en TIA Portal, HMI-schermen en communicatie via Profinet. Onder begeleiding van ervaren engineers leer je hoe sensoren, aandrijvingen en besturingslogica samen een werkende machine vormen, van de eerste softwareopzet tot de inbedrijfstelling.\nJe werkdag bestaat uit programmeren, testen en het analyseren van storingen aan de machine. Je overlegt met collega's uit elektrotechniek en werktuigbouw en stemt binnen het multidisciplinaire team met projectleiders af over planning en technische keuzes. Tijdens softwarebesprekingen en praktijktests krijg je gerichte feedback.
