Bij een machinebouwer in Deurne werk je als PLC Embedded Software Engineer aan de ontwikkeling van nieuwe machines. Binnen de afdeling New Product Development ontwikkel en valideer je samen met collega's applicatiesoftware en besturingssoftware voor de aansturing en bediening van machines. Je combineert PLC-techniek met embedded software en Windows-applicaties. Daarbij denk je mee over de architectuur van besturingssystemen en softwareapplicaties en geef je technisch advies over ontwerpkeuzes, interfaces en de samenhang tussen software en hardware.

Je werkdag bestaat uit programmeren, testen en het analyseren van besturingsgedrag op een machine of testopstelling. Je stemt af met softwarecollega's, engineers uit andere disciplines en projectleiders binnen een multidisciplinair team. Samen vertaal je functionele wensen naar betrouwbare software en toets je of nieuwe functies correct werken. Je krijgt ruimte om je verder te verdiepen in realtime firmware, PLC-ontwikkeling en motion control en om technische kennis met collega's te delen.

Wat ga je doen?
  • Ontwikkelen en valideren van applicatie- en besturingssoftware voor nieuwe machines.
  • Bouwen van Windows-applicaties met C#, C++ en WPF voor machinebediening en aansturing.
  • Ontwikkelen en testen van PLC-software voor systemen zoals Beckhoff.
  • Ontwikkelen van firmware voor realtime microprocessorgestuurde embedded systemen.
  • Mede bepalen en met UML uitwerken van de architectuur van besturingssystemen en softwareapplicaties.
  • Analyseren van software- en integratieproblemen en technisch adviseren over passende oplossingen.
  • Afstemmen van ontwerpkeuzes en validatieresultaten met collega's en projectleiders binnen New Product Development.
Wat vragen we van jou?
  • Je hebt minimaal een hbo-bachelor informatica, mechatronica, elektronica of een gelijkwaardige opleiding en enkele jaren relevante werkervaring.
  • Je hebt uitstekende kennis van WPF, C#, C++, UML en Windows-platformen.
  • Je hebt kennis van PLC-systemen, zoals Beckhoff, en hun softwareontwikkeling, plus ervaring met firmwareontwikkeling voor realtime microprocessorgestuurde embedded systemen.
  • Je hebt bij voorkeur kennis van CANopen, TCP/IP, XML, MFC en .NET; ervaring met motion control en machinebesturing is een pré.
  • Je communiceert sterk en beheerst Engels uitstekend, mondeling en schriftelijk; je kunt daarnaast in het Nederlands afstemmen op de werkvloer.
  • Je werkt graag samen, neemt initiatief en combineert analytisch vermogen met creativiteit en nauwkeurigheid.
