Bij een technisch georiënteerde organisatie vertaal je functionele eisen naar overzichtelijke besturingslogica, bedieningsschermen en storingsmeldingen. Je kijkt niet alleen naar de werking van een programma, maar ook naar onderhoudbaarheid, veilige bediening en de aansluiting tussen software, elektrotechniek en mechanica.\nIn de dagelijkse praktijk wissel je programmeren af met testen, foutzoeken en het bespreken van technische keuzes. Je stemt af met collega-engineers en betrekt de mensen die een installatie bedienen of onderhouden bij de oplossing. Denk aan het controleren van I/O-signalen, het doorlopen van processtappen en het analyseren van communicatieproblemen.
