You take ownership of the ongoing processing, analysis, and continuous optimisation of tax processes and internal controls - backed by the strength of a global Tax Team.\nYou will be part of the Global Tax Team, reporting directly to the Head of Global Tax and working in close alignment with the Director Finance Europe. This role offers you true flexibility - whether you are looking for a part-time position (20 hours/week) or a full-time engagement (40 hours/week), we are open to both and will tailor the scope accordingly.\nIdeal for experienced tax professionals, tax consultants, or tax specialists looking to make the move into the corporate world - or who are already right at home there.\nYour Responsibilities\nPreparation and submission of EC Sales Lists\nProcessing of VAT advance returns and annual VAT declarations\nExecution of monthly and quarterly corporate income tax calculations and posting of deferred taxes\nContributing to the preparation of the Annual German Tax Note (tax disclosure for the annual financial statements)\nPreparation of annual tax returns in close collaboration with external tax advisors\nCoordination and collaboration with external tax advisors and tax authorities\nAdministration of flat-rate taxation (Pauschalversteuerung)\nReview of purchase agreements with respect to double taxation treaties and withholding tax regulations\nSupporting the Global Accounts Payable Team on tax-related questions regarding travel expenses and reimbursements\nAssisting with withholding tax requirements and cross-border transactions\nSupporting tax audits and handling inquiries from tax authorities\nSupporting global Tax Compliance activities as required\nTax research and documentation of conclusions\nSupporting the implementation and improvement of tax processes\nYour Profile\nWhat you bring\nStrong, hands-on expertise in German tax law - particularly in the areas listed above\nStructured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style\nProfessional communication with internal and external stakeholders at all levels\nExperience coordinating with external tax advisors and tax authorities\nNice to have\n SAP experience (ECC / S/4HANA) and/or familiarity with ERP-based tax processes\nLanguages\n German: Fluent (mandatory)\nEnglish: Good to very good level\nYour Work Setup\nWe believe great work happens when people have the flexibility they need:\nLocation: Remote-first - open to candidates from anywhere in Germany\nWorking hours: Flexible - part-time (20 hrs/week) or full-time (40 hrs/week) - entirely your choice\nOn-site presence: Approx. 3 weeks per year in Weinheim - primarily for tax audits and local stakeholder collaboration\nHome office: The majority of your work happens wherever you are most productive\nContract: Permanent employment\n\nWhy Syntax?\nBecome a part of our success story and work in a company with exciting innovation projects that are causing a stir across the industry.
