This role works closely with business stakeholders, SAP functional and technical teams, developers, project managers, and end users throughout the implementation and support lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and maintain the overall SAP testing strategy, test plans, schedules, and quality standards.\nAnalyze business requirements, functional specifications, technical designs, and process documentation.\nCreate detailed test scenarios, test cases, scripts, and expected results.\nPerform and coordinate:Unit and string testing\nSystem integration testing\nRegression testing\nUser acceptance testing\nEnd-to-end business process testing\nData migration and validation testing\nInterface and integration testing\nPerformance and security testing, where applicable\n\nExecute tests across SAP modules and integrated applications.\nValidate business processes, master data, transactional data, reports, workflows, interfaces, and authorizations.\nRecord, prioritize, track, and manage defects through resolution.\nPerform root-cause analysis and coordinate defect resolution with functional and technical teams.\nPrepare test status reports, defect metrics, risk assessments, and quality dashboards.\nCoordinate with business users during UAT and support user acceptance sign-off.\nEnsure testing evidence and documentation comply with project, audit, regulatory, and quality requirements.\nSupport cutover, go-live readiness, and post-go-live validation activities.\nIdentify opportunities to improve testing processes, automation, reusability, and overall delivery quality.\nContribute to continuous improvement of QA standards, templates, methodologies, and governance.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.\nExperience in software quality assurance, SAP testing, business process testing, or test management.\nKnowledge of SAP implementation, enhancement, upgrade, or support projects.\nUnderstanding of software testing life-cycle processes and defect management.\nExperience creating test cases, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test reports.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively with functional consultants, developers, business users, and project leadership.\nExperience with test management or defect tracking tools such as SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager, Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or Tricentis.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, SAP Fiori, SAP integrations, or SAP BTP.\n\nKnowledge of one or more SAP modules, such as:\nFinance and Controlling - FI/CO\nSales and Distribution - SD\nMaterials Management - MM\nProduction Planning - PP\nQuality Management - QM\nWarehouse Management or Extended Warehouse Management - WM/EWM\n\nExperience with automated SAP testing tools such as Tricentis Tosca or Worksoft.\n\nFamiliarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or SAP Activate methodologies.\n\nKnowledge of API, web service, IDoc, EDI, middleware, and integration testing.\n\nExperience with data validation using SQL or SAP reporting tools.\n\nRelevant certifications in SAP, ISTQB, Agile, or quality management.\n\nKey Competencies\nTest planning and execution\nSAP business-process knowledge\nDefect management and root-cause analysis\nRisk-based testing\nTest automation\nData and integration validation\nStakeholder management\nAttention to detail\nWritten and verbal communication\nContinuous improvement mindset\nSuccess Measures\nTest execution completed according to the approved schedule.\nHigh-risk defects identified before production deployment.\nEffective test coverage across critical business processes and integrations.\nTimely defect resolution and retesting.\nComplete and audit-ready testing documentation.\nSuccessful UAT, cutover, and go-live activities.\nReduction in production incidents and regression defects.\nSource consulted: SAP Careers describes Quality Assurance roles as including software testing, test automation, performance testing, security testing, and process and quality management.
