The role requires deep functional expertise in SAP Production Planning (PP), strong troubleshooting capability, and the ability to resolve business-critical issues within SLA timelines.\nThe consultant will work closely with business users, cross-functional teams, and technical teams to ensure stability and continuity of production planning, execution, and related integrated business processes.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduction Support\nHandle P1 and P2 priority tickets related to SAP PP and ensure timely resolution within defined SLA/KPI targets.\nAnalyze production issues, assess business impact, and drive immediate corrective actions.\nPerform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and recommend preventive solutions.\nCoordinate with ABAP, BASIS, MM, QM, SD, PM, and integration teams for end-to-end issue resolution.\nProvide regular updates to stakeholders during critical incident handling and support escalations as needed.\nSAP PP Functional Support\nProvide support for core SAP PP processes, including:\nMaterial Requirements Planning (MRP)\nProduction Orders\nPlanned Orders\nDemand Management\nCapacity Planning\nBill of Materials (BOM)\nWork Centers\nRoutings\nProduction Scheduling\nBackflush and Confirmation processes\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues affecting production planning and shop floor execution.\nSupport master data related to manufacturing processes and planning accuracy.\nRequired Skills\n6-8 years of experience in SAP PP functional consulting/support\nStrong experience in production support and handling P1/P2 tickets\nStrong knowledge of SAP PP processes, including:\nMRP\nProduction Orders\nPlanned Orders\nBOM\nWork Centers\nRoutings\nCapacity Planning\nShop Floor Execution\nHands-on experience in issue analysis, troubleshooting, and functional testing\nStrong understanding of manufacturing and production planning business processes\nGood knowledge of cross-functional integration with MM, QM, SD, and FI/CO\nExperience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy\nPreferred Skills\nExperience in SAP S/4HANA PP support environment\nExposure to PP-PI or process manufacturing environments\nFamiliarity with Fiori apps related to production planning\nUnderstanding of batch management and production reporting\nKnowledge of ITIL support processes\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or related discipline\nWhy Syntax?\nBecome a part of our success story and work in a company with exciting innovation projects that are causing a stir across the industry.
