This is a hands-on technical role supporting the engineering, deployment, and day-to-day administration of the security platforms that protect Syntax and our customers’ mission-critical environments. The initial focus will be on Privileged Access Management (PAM) with CyberArk, with opportunities to contribute to other security technologies with ever increasing responsibilities. The ideal candidate is curious, eager to learn, possesses strong English communication skills, and demonstrates a high level of personal accountability and organization.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nSupport the deployment, configuration, and ongoing administration of the organization’s CyberArk PAM solution, including onboarding privileged accounts, managing safes, and maintaining platform policies.\n\nMonitor the health and availability of security platforms, and troubleshoot and resolve issues or escalate them appropriately.\n\nWork service requests and incidents through the ticketing system, meeting defined service levels and keeping stakeholders informed.\n\nParticipate in patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance of security tools under the guidance of senior engineers.\n\nCollaborate with infrastructure, operations, and SOC teams to enforce security policies and resolve access-related issues.\n\nSupport audit and compliance activities by producing evidence, reports, and documentation as required.\n\nParticipate in incident response activities as directed.\n\nCreate and maintain clear documentation, including procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.\n\nIdentify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve team workflows.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n1-3 years of experience in IT, systems administration, help desk/service desk, or a security-related role.\n\nWorking knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.\n\nUnderstanding of Active Directory concepts, including users, groups, permissions, and authentication.\n\nFoundational knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls) and core security principles such as least privilege and defense in depth.\n\nStrong troubleshooting skills and a logical, methodical approach to problem-solving.\n\nProficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\nWillingness to learn new technologies and to take ownership of assigned work.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExposure to CyberArk or another PAM solution (e.g., BeyondTrust, Delinea).\n\nFamiliarity with identity platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta, or SailPoint, and concepts such as SSO, MFA, SAML, and OAuth.\n\nScripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.\n\nExperience working with ITSM/ticketing tools such as ServiceNow.\n\nFamiliarity with SIEM (e.g., Splunk), EDR, or vulnerability management platforms.\n\nExperience in cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP).\n\nIndustry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CyberArk Defender, Microsoft SC-300, or equivalent.\n\nWhy Join Us?\nA collaborative and security-minded engineering team\n\nOpportunities for growth and technical advancement\n\nFlexible work arrangements\n\nSupport for certification and continuing education\n\nClear paths for growth and advancement as you develop your skills and expertise.\n\nIf you are passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to take on new challenges, we’d love to hear from you!\nWhy Syntax?\nBecome a part of our success story and work in a company with exciting innovation projects that are causing a stir across the industry.
