In Verna we offer customized packaging solutions for the domestic and international markets in the food and non-food segments. Our colleagues design, manufacture and market vertical form, fill and seal machines, horizontal wrappers and secondary packaging equipment.\n Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders (POs) for bought-out components, engineered items, consumables, and production materials in SAP/ERP system.\nRelease purchase orders to approved suppliers ensuring accuracy of part numbers, quantities, prices, delivery dates, and technical specifications.\nCoordinate with Planning team to understand material requirements, prioritize urgent orders, and align procurement schedules with production timelines.\nFollow up with suppliers for order acknowledgment, production status updates, and on-time delivery confirmations.\nExpedite critical and delayed deliveries to meet assembly schedules and prevent production stoppages due to material shortages.\nTrack open purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, and provide regular status updates to Planning, Manufacturing, and Management teams.\nCoordinate with Engineering team for technical clarifications on engineered items including drawings, specifications, material grades, and quality requirements.\nWork with Quality team to resolve supplier quality issues, non-conformances, rejections, and implement corrective actions with vendors.\nCoordinate material receipt with Stores team, verify Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), and resolve discrepancies in quantity, quality, or documentation.\nMonitor price variances between purchase orders and supplier invoices. Coordinate with Accounts team for invoice processing and discrepancy resolution.\nMaintain accurate procurement records in ERP system including PO history, delivery tracking, supplier performance data, and documentation.\nUpdate master data in SAP including vendor details, lead times, pricing information, and material specifications as required.\nSupport supplier performance monitoring by tracking delivery adherence, quality compliance, and responsiveness metrics.\nCoordinate with Strategic Sourcing team for price negotiations, annual contracts, rate revisions, and vendor development activities.\nHandle import procurement activities including coordination with clearing agents, customs documentation, and import duty calculations (if applicable).\nSupport cost reduction initiatives by identifying alternative suppliers, optimizing order quantities, and reducing procurement lead times.\nEnsure compliance with company purchasing policies, approval hierarchies, and ethical procurement practices.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, system efficiency, and supplier collaboration.\nPreparation of Purchasing MIS documents with detailed analysis against defined KPI’s and presentation.\nHands on Experience in Project based industry with Potential suppliers with Low quantum, high variety product scenario.\n Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electricals, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.\n12-15 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations in manufacturing industries in different commodities.\nExperience in procuring engineered items, Electrical components, bought-out components, or production materials for capital equipment or machine-building preferred.\nWorking knowledge of SAP MM (Material Management) module or equivalent ERP systems for procurement operations.\nFamiliarity with technical drawings, BOMs, and material specifications for engineered components, well-known local / import Suppliers.\nUnderstanding of vendor management, delivery tracking, and supplier coordination processes.\nExperienced person with required knowledge, experience in Supplier negotiations, business strategies, Risk assessment and capacity planning.\n We are a group of open-minded and high-spirited collaborators.
