We have ambitious growth plans for 2026, and we are so keen for you to join us on the journey.\nThe Role\nWe're expanding our cloud offering capabilities and seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to strengthen our foundation for future growth. You'll support our cloud automation strategy, creating scalable, secure infrastructure through code. This role has a significant impact on both our development teams and customers' engineering teams. You'll help shape our cloud architecture decisions from the ground up with significant growth opportunities as you build solutions that enable faster development and deployment without compromising security.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation templates and AWS CDK\n\nDevelop automation scripts and workflows for cloud resource provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks\n\nBuild CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment and application delivery and security including SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, container scanning\n\nCreate monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions through code\n\nImplement and automate security controls according to best practices and compliance requirements\n\nOptimise and implement automated controls for cloud resource utilisation and cost management\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues through programmatic approaches\n\nAbout You\nEssential qualities\nProven experience with AWS\n\nStrong programming skills in languages relevant to cloud automation (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell, shell scripts, etc.)\n\nExperience with infrastructure as code tools and methodologies\n\nKnowledge of containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD concepts and tools (GitHub Actions)\n\nExperience with monitoring and observability implementation\n\nUnderstanding of cloud security best practices and implementing security controls as code\n\nWhat sets you apart\nIndustry-recognized cloud and security certifications\n\nHands-on experience implementing technical controls for compliance frameworks such as SOC2 and ISO-27001\n\nExperience with serverless architectures and function-as-a-service implementations\n\nExperience with security tools (SAST/DAST, container scanning)\n\nKnowledge of security scanning and testing tools for infrastructure code\n\nFamiliarity with secret management solutions\n\nExperience with OpenShift administration and automation\n\nAbility to maintain good humour when explaining for the fifth time why \"turning it off and on again\" isn't always the solution to cloud problems\n\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive salary and meaningful equity\n\n25 days annual leave\n\nHybrid, flexible working\n\nLearning & development budget for coaching, courses, and conferences\n\nPrivate medical, dental, and vision cover\n\nRegular team socials and offsites\n\nWorking with a team that’s smart, ambitious, and deeply collaborative\n\nGenerous Family leave\n\nEqual Opportunities\nWe are committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace at Synthesized.
