Since 2021, we have been proud holders of the London Stock Exchange Green Economy Mark, which recognises green technology businesses making a significant contribution to a more sustainable, low-carbon economy.\nJOB SUMMARY:\nThe Electromechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining the daily operation of Pilot Plant by ensuring that breakdown\nrepairs and preventative maintenance on facility systems are carried out in a safe, timely, and effective manner.\nThis position is responsible for the electrical and mechanical installation of new equipment as well as repair, inspection,\nand calibration of existing equipment. This person is also responsible for accurate record keeping and input of data into\nthe plant maintenance management system.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\nFollow safe work practices and support safety goals and objectives\nMakes all necessary mechanical repairs on equipment including replacement, repair and installation of motors, pumps, sleeves, bearings, gears, shafts, pins, etc.\nInstall, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment up to 480V\nPiping installation and ability to determine correct materials for each service.\nCreate, modify, read, and understand piping specification, engineering and electrical drawings.\nSafe operation of industrial equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and lifts.\nInstrument repair, calibration and installation including flow meters, pressure transmitters.\nTroubleshooting, and basic programming of distributed control system and PLCs.\nParticipate on the Emergency Response Team\nAssists with managing outside service contractors\nMaintains and improves preventative/predictive maintenance programs. Experience with maintenance management systems.\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:\nMinimum Level of Education: High School Diploma/GED\nEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:\nMinimum Years of Experience: 3 - 5 years of Industrial electrical/mechanical or equivalent experience\nCERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:\nCertified Electrician or Craftsman preferred but not required\nSKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school or equivalent degree\n3-5 years experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a chemical / production facility or equivalent educational experience\nSelf-starter and capable of working in a high paced environment\nMust be able to work closely with maintenance and production team\nAble to handle up to fifty (50) pounds and physical dexterity to assemble and operate equipment\nWorking knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, E-Mail, maintenance management systems)\nSKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE: PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nJourneyman\nElectrical and Mechanical experience\nExperience in distributed control systems, PLCS, and instrumentation\nExperience working in a high-performance work culture\nFamiliar with Process Safety Management concepts and requirements\nCertified Welder\nSAP maintenance management system experience\nWORKING REQUIREMENTS\nThe plant currently works two 8 hour Maintenance shifts, Days and afternoons, five days a week. This could change but not currently planned.
