We are seeking a lead Digital Design Engineer who will be designing the digital systems and building blocks for MEMS microphones. Together with the analog/mixed-signal designers, test development engineers and other team members, you will be developing high-performance, low-power ASICs from concept to high-volume production.\nRequirements\nSpecific Duties and Responsibilities :\nDevelop the digital architecture including audio signal path (DSP) and analog-digital interface with the project team.\nBuild complex functional and behavioral models of the systems using Matlab/Simulink, Verilog-AMS, etc.\nPerform RTL design, synthesis, timing closure, scan pattern generation, power optimization and supervise the RTL-to-GDS flow.\nDefine the digital verification plan.\nVerify the digital system and blocks in collaboration with the digital verification engineer.\nDevelop low-power audio signal processing architectures.\n Qualifications, Education, and Experience Required:\nAdvanced Degree in electronic engineering or related field.\n8+ years of proven track record in developing digital blocks/systems for high-performance mixed-signal integrated circuits in a consumer or industrial R&D environment.\nGood understanding of the entire digital design flow and DFT.\nExperience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) implementations \nHands-on experience in designing low-power digital circuits.\nGood understanding of most common concepts and metrics used in analog/mixed signal design (Sampling, Quantization, FFT, SNR, THD, etc.)\nExperience with sigma delta ADCs or audio signal processing.\nUnderstanding of the most common limitations and issues of analog circuits (offset, gain error, distortion, etc.) is an advantage.\nKnowledge in EDA tools such as Cadence Digital EDA suite (Genus, Tempus, Jasper, Voltus, Modus, Conformal etc.) is an advantage.\nSolid knowledge of Matlab/Simulink environment.\nStructured and methodological approach.\nStrong team player.\nGood spoken and written communication skills in English.\nBenefits\nBenefits Summary:\nMedical: Several plan options including PPO and HSA-compatible plans from Anthem Blue Cross, most of which are 100% paid by Syntiant Corp. for you and your family. \nDental: Company-paid dental PPO coverage from MetLife, including coverage for Orthodontia. \nVision: Company-paid vision PPO coverage from MetLife / VSP. \n Life Insurance / AD&D: Company-paid basic Life / AD&D coverage in the amount of 3x your salary (up to $1,000,000). The starting base pay for this role is targeted to be between $190,000 - $240,000. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Syntiant, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company.
