Could start earlier with Overtime. 8-12 hour shifts.\nJOB SUMMARY\nThe Production Associate is responsible for aiding the line leader with daily transactions and maintaining a safe, organized, clean and efficient operation on their production line. They must be able to proactively identify and analyze problems and recommend appropriate action to improve performance to the line Leader. They ensure that produce of the highest quality is made ready and available for the day’s runs at an acceptable productivity level.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nPerforms to standard rate for assigned production line and communicates to leadership when company standard is not met.\n\nBe aware of production performance KPIs.\n\nMaintains a safe and clean workspace. Ensures work area is washdown ready for sanitation to finish including the floor, tables, cutting boards, and equipment.\n\nMaintains quality specifications of unfinished products.\n\nPrepares, cuts, and repacks product per customers’ specifications.\n\nOperates machinery such as potato peelers, bag sealers, and others.\n\nResponsible for the cleaning and sanitation of the work area.\n\nWhile adhering to sanitation and safety procedures for handling and production to SQF (safe quality food) standards.\n\nColleagues must follow GMPs.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation\nPrefer High School or GED but not required.\nExperience\nRelated industry experience preferred.\n\nGeneral understanding of processing procedures preferred.\n\nExperience working in a high-volume warehouse/production facility preferred.\n\nKnowledge of GMP policy preferred.\n\nAbility to use and handle sharp knife, peelers, and hand machines.\n\nSkills:\nAbility to communicate effectively.\n\nBi-lingual preferred\n\nLimited computer skills\n\nWillingness to learn lean Manufacturing processes.\n\nPhysical Demands\nAble to lift and or move 25 lb. to 50 lb.\n\nMust be able to stand for long periods of time.\n\nMust be able to stoop and bend frequently.\n\nBENEFITS INFORMATION:\nFor information on Sysco’s Benefits, please visit https://SyscoBenefits.comOVERVIEW:\nSysco is the global leader in foodservice distribution.
