Control flow of products being received into the warehouse.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nConform to appropriate equipment (i.e., tugs, forklifts, pallet jacks) operation rules and practices to reduce accidents and injuries.\nGuarantee that assigned equipment is maintained and clean; report repair or service needs to the manager to reduce equipment damage.\nObserve all safety rules, regulations, and sanitation policies to reduce accidents, injuries, and equipment damage.\nUse equipment horns when driving out of storage areas, into obstructed view areas, and when entering walkways or row intersections to reduce accidents, injuries, and equipment damage.\nPlug equipment into a power source when not in use to ensure the availability of fully operational equipment.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nExperience\n2 years of warehouse experience.\nRequirement\nPass mandatory ergonomics testing.\nProfessional Skills\nWorking knowledge of Sysco safety and security policies, equipment associated with warehouse activities and the operation of the equipment.\nDemonstrated ability to disseminate numerical data.\nManage work time efficiently.\nFollow procedures and policies.\nPerform basic mathematical calculations.\nIdentify and solve problems\nMust be able to manage the pressures and stress associated with a deadline-oriented atmosphere.\nPossess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nMay be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear.\nMust regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100pounds.\nSpecific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close vision and distance vision.\nThe above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates within this classification.
