Factors that may be used to determine your actual rate of pay include your specific skills, years of experience and other factors.\nYou may be eligible to participate in the Company's Incentive Plan.BENEFITS INFORMATION:\nFor information on Sysco’s Benefits, please visit https://SyscoBenefits.comJOB SUMMARY\nThis is an Operations position responsible for performing product receiving activities, operating and maintaining equipment associated with warehouse activity and performing other related duties as required.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nCheck, inspect, examine and count all products being unloaded for quality and quantity against purchase orders\nInform warehouse management and merchandising of any discrepancies on purchase orders\nEnsure that the drivers are backed up to the proper door and their trailers are secure before unloading begins\nDocument all overages, shortages, and damages\nInform warehouse management and merchandisers when trucks are late for scheduled appointment times\nEnsure that all unwanted product is returned to the truck\nEnsure that the drivers’ signature is on all paperwork\nSign all necessary paperwork before releasing the truck\nWorks with the lumper service to ensure the timely unloading of the trucks\nCleans dock area as needed\nPerforms other warehouse duties as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation\nHigh school education.\nExperience\nUp to one year with Sysco\nPallet Jack and Forklift Certification from Sysco\nProfessional Skills\nAdapts to changes in the work environment\nAble to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events\nMust display exceptional time management skills\nMust be dependable, accountable and ethical to work while upholding organizational values\nMust have great interpersonal skills and work well with others\nDemonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles; Measures self against standard of excellence\nFollows policies and procedures\nDemonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, self-monitors to ensure quality output\nMeets productivity standards\nObserves safety and security procedures\nDetermines appropriate action beyond guidelines\nReports potentially unsafe conditions\nUses equipment and materials properly\nContributes to building a positive team spirit\nAble to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives\nMust be able to explain work in a written and verbal format\nMust have exceptional computing/mathematical skills\nAbility to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations\nBasic computer skills\nPhysical Demands\nRegularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear\nRegularly lift and /or move up to 50 -75 pounds\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus\nWork Environment\nRegularly exposed to wet, hot, extreme cold and/or humid conditions\nExposed to moving mechanical parts\nFrequently exposed to high, precarious places\nOccasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles\nThe noise level in the work environment is usually loud.\nOVERVIEW:\nSysco is the global leader in foodservice distribution.
