This position is responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and implementing process improvements to enhance inventory control.\nResponsibilities\nConduct thorough and accurate cycle counts of inventory, including all pick and reserve slots.\nInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including out-of-balance items, discrepancies, and product condition issues.\nResearch root causes of inventory variances, such as receiving errors, put-away errors, and product damage.\nInventory Control Processes:\nMonitor inventory levels and identify potential issues.\nEnsure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions.\nSupport the implementation and maintenance of inventory control procedures and best practices.\nQuality Control:\nPerform quality checks on date-sensitive, slow-moving, and obsolete items.\nMonitor FIFO rotation and address any issues.\nData Analysis & Reporting:\nAnalyze inventory data to identify trends and identify areas for improvement.\nGenerate reports on inventory performance and discrepancies.\nSupport Functions:\nProcess inventory transfers and other inventory adjustments as required.\nSupport the product recall process.\nSkills\nData Analysis: Basic data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret data and identify trends.\nCommunication: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.\nProblem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.\nCertifications\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or GED\nExperience\n2+ years of experience\nPhysical Demands\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear. \nThe employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms.\nThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move between 41 and 50 pounds, and seldom lift and/or move 51 pounds and up to 100 pounds. \nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,\n\nTravel Requirements\n0-25%\nSysco is committed to Employment Equity.
