This role ensures that designated lines run efficiently and safely while maintaining cleanliness and organization. The Line Lead is expected to proactively identify problems and suggest performance improvements to the Team Leader.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nAssist Team Lead in managing daily activities on assigned lines\n\nEnsure line is clean, organized, and operating safely\n\nProvide guidance and direction to packing associates during shifts\n\nMonitor line performance and suggest improvements\n\nCommunicate any issues or concerns to the Team Lead\n\nAssist in training and onboarding new associates\n\nEnsure packing procedures are followed for quality and efficiency\n\nSupport shift changeovers and completion of daily tasks\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent; Some college coursework or leadership training\nExperience\n1-2 years of experience in a production or packing environment\nExperience in a leadership or team support role in a food production setting\nBasic food safety or OSHA certification preferred\nSkills\nStrong teamwork and leadership abilities\n\nAbility to communicate clearly and effectively\n\nAttention to detail and problem-solving skills\n\nKnowledge of safety and sanitation procedures\n\nCapable of multitasking in a fast paced environment\n\nEnglish required; bilingual preferred\n\nPhysical Demands\nReasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job\n\nAbility to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform repetitive tasks\n\nCold production floor, exposure to machinery, produce\n\nDecision Making Authority\nDelegation of basic tasks to packing associates\n\nReporting issues to Team Lead\n\nMonitoring and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards\n\nChanges to line operations or staff assignments\n\nEscalation of disciplinary or quality concerns\n\nImplementation of any procedural changes\n\nOVERVIEW:\nSysco is the global leader in foodservice distribution.
