This role oversees all aspects of warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control, while driving operational excellence, ensuring safety compliance, and maximizing efficiency.\nResponsibilities\nOversee all aspects of daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment, receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse productivity, reduce costs, and minimize errors.\nImplement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.\nTeam Leadership & Management:\nLead and manage a team of warehouse supervisors and associates.\nConduct performance reviews, address employee concerns, and identify opportunities for team development.\nFoster a safe and productive work environment for all team members.\nSafety & Compliance:\nEnsure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, including OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.\nConduct safety inspections, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.\nPromote a strong safety culture within the warehouse.\nTechnology & Innovation:\nEvaluate and implement new technologies and warehouse management systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.\nLeverage data and analytics to identify areas for improvement and drive operational decisions.\nBudget & Resource Management:\nContribute to the development and management of the warehouse budget.\nSkills\nLeadership & Management: Strong leadership and mentorship skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a high-performing team.\nCommunication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.\nProblem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve operational challenges.\nCertifications\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in related discipline or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree\nExperience\n7+ years of experience, of which at least 2 leading a team\nPhysical Demands\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, lift, and reach. \nThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\n\nTravel Requirements\n0-25%\nSysco is committed to Employment Equity.
