Factors that may be used to determine rate of pay include specific skills, work location, work experience and other individualized factors\nSign-On Bonus for New Hires: up to $2,000\nThis position is a Day Shift - Monday - Friday.\nYou must have experience repairing forklifts and industrial equipment.\nPay: $30.00 to $36.00 per hour based on experience.\nAnnual Boot and Tool allowance\nOutstanding benefits - www.syscobenefits.com\nExcellent full time career with a stable and growing company\nMove your Career FORWARD with SYSCO FOODS!\nJOB SUMMARY\nThis is an Operations position responsible for overseeing the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance activities associated with Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and maintenance of industrial batteries.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nPerforms the duties of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Technician III\nPerforms moderate supervisory roles when Director Fleet and Facility Maintenance / Facility MHE Maintenance Supervisor are not accessible\nExpressed desire to advance to management positions of greater authority\nDemonstrates clear and concise decision-making skills related to MHE repair and availability of fleet for operations teams\nProvides clear communication and reporting to Director Fleet and Facility Maintenance / Facility MHE Maintenance Supervisor on a daily basis\nOperates competently within designated parameters and communicates upward before exceeding those parameters.\nMentor, teach and share expertise with MHE Technician I, II, and III to aid in their development to positions of greater responsibility\nDemonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements\nProficient in electrical meter testing\nKnowledge of controls and electric (AC - alternative current & DC - direct current low voltage)\nUnderstanding and working knowledge of PLC's and PLC troubleshooting\nMotors and Motor starter knowledge (AC & DC)\nMotor starter knowledge\nContactor and relay knowledge and repair\nComplete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed.\nMaintain power material handling equipment (MHE) including preventive maintenance (PM) of MHE fleet checking, draining and filling oil levels as needed, checking, adjusting, or replacing all belts and chains as needed, checking and troubleshooting electrical controls issues, replacing motors and controls, safety checks, PM per manufacturers recommendations\nKnowledge of hydraulic systems/schematics/components, electrical systems/schematics both AC and DC systems, drive motors, power amps, electrical controls including PLC systems\nKnowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions, drive units, differentials, braking systems, telescopic masts, reach mechanisms, steering systems, suspension systems\nCompletes all special projects associated with building or grounds, as requested including but not limited to moving furniture or fixtures, changing lights, light carpentry, painting, light plumbing, changing of light bulbs, repair of minor electrical devices\nAssist the battery technicians; duties will include assisting in battery charger repairs, battery changes for MHE, repair of plugs and tips of batteries and chargers, watering and washing batteries, acid spill clean up, battery rack cleaning, battery area sweeping and cleaning, setting equalizing charge on batteries\nParticipate in departmental on-call program, as designated\nResponsible for logging time and materials into the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) on a daily basis in the form of work orders, P.M.s, etc.\nResponsible for housekeeping, clean up of all maintenance areas/work areas on a daily basis.\nMaintain all tools and equipment in clean, safe, working order\nAdhere to all safety requirements and wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment required by the job\nRespond to emergency situations to ensure employee and facility safety\nChampion overall safety in the department\nComply with OSHA, and other local, state and federal regulations\nAdhere to Organization and the Facilities Department policies and procedures including appropriate attire, grooming, and attendance\nInteract effectively, build relationships, and demonstrate a high level of cooperation\nTrain and Mentor MHE Tech I and II\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation\nHigh School diploma or general education degree (GED);\nTech school or equivalent is preferred (2 years)\nExperience\nSix years in an MHE maintenance position; or equivalent combination of education and related experience\nCertificates, Licenses, and Registrations\nMust possess a valid state Driver's License and provide proof of liability coverage meeting Company standards.\nComplete a Sysco approved the defensive driving program\nObtain a Powered Industrial Equipment Certification from Sysco within 3 months\nMHE 8 hour maintenance tech certificate from MHE manufacturer (IE: Crown, Raymond, Hyster, etc.)\nTrade electrical I & II training (preferred)\nProfessional Skills\nAbility to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations\nAbility to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals\nPhysical Demands\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear.\nThe associate is frequently required to stand;
