Factors that may be used to determine rate of pay include specific skills, work location, work experience and other individualized factors\nJob Summary:\nSysco has immediate job openings for CDL A Delivery Truck Driver Trainees without a CDL to train to become dependable Delivery Partners. You will train for your Class-A CDL, including how to safely operate a tractor-trailer, to unload/deliver various products to an assigned route schedule, and build relationships with each customer using a positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.\nDuties andResponsibilities:\nAbility to unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and place in designated customer storageareas\n\nTransporting product down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weatherconditions\n\nConstantly bending and twisting while loading and unloading product and retrieving items from the trailer\n\nAbility to verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures. Contact management for authorization when there are discrepancies on invoice and communicate all errors/returns\n\nPerform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities following the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Sysco policies\n\nPickup, load and unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork\n\nComplete DOT logs (electronic or manual as required), company vehicle maintenance reports, and reconcile with appropriate company representative as required\n\nAbility to deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows. Immediately inform the management team of any deviations\n\nQualifications:\nMust be 21+ years of age\n\nValid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company insurability standards.\n\nMust submit to and pass pre-employment testing\n\nMust obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within ninety (90) days of start date to remain actively employed\n\nMust have one year Distribution/Warehouse experience or other military experience in lieu of\n\n*CDL permit and DOT medical certification may be obtained during SkillBridge program for eligible participants\nVeterans encouraged to apply.\nLicenses/CertificationsRequired:\nValid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company insurability standards.\nProfessional Skills:\nStrong communication skills\n\nGood mathematical and arithmetic skills.
