Please note - due to operational requirements, the incumbent may be required to work 10 hour shifts or split days off.\n\nRole Responsibilities:\n· Support warehouse team members with technology systems (Motorola RF scanners, Zebra printers, tablets and CANVAS)\n· Provide ongoing coaching, training and encouragement to all colleagues and support in meeting productivity goals (Engineered Labour Standards)\n· Conduct Material Handling Training for colleagues\n· Ensure safety compliance in accordance with all company safety programs and industry regulations/legislation.\n· Complete daily proactive safety measures warehouse inspections, coach cards, observations and facility audits\n· Prepare work schedules including vacations schedules\n· Distribute, analyze and work with team members on incentive program\n· Monitor and improve overall productivity\n· Support and comply with all company policies and procedures\n· Manage all aspects of selection, replenishment, assembly of products and loading in a timely manner\n· Generate/analyze productivity reports\n· Manage/Identify barriers that cause indirect time\n· Record indirect (work delays) in SWMS (warehouse management system)\n· Assist Warehouse Manager in preparation of annual warehouse budget and monitor budget on a weekly basis\n· Develop and implement cost reduction action plans\n· Accountable for the accuracy of timecards, approvals and scheduling of direct reports\nIf applicable, understand and interpret the CBA, participate in grievance, mediation, arbitration procedures at unionized facilities\n· Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.\n· Understands that their role is critical in creating a safe organization with minimal environmental impact and the value that brings to the organization.\n· Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by acting as an example and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.\n· Enable, champion, and embrace an inclusive culture\n· Perform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:\n· Minimum 2 years’ experience in Logistics/Warehouse role\n· Preferred 5 Years’ experience in Logistics/Warehouse role\nPreferred warehouse supervisory experience\n· High School Diploma required\nDiploma or Degree in Logistics and or Operations preferred\n· Knowledge of systems would be considered an asset: SWMS, ADP, Synetellic, CANVAS, Intelex, labour standard system\nBasic proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel\nInternal candidates apply via the Career Centre on your HR Portal / ADP Workforce Now.\nExternal candidates submit cover letter & resume via www.sysco.ca/careers\nOur Purpose:\nConnecting the world to share food and care for one another\nOur Mission:\nDelivering success for our customers through industry-leading people, products and solutions\nOur Identity:\nTogether we define our future of foodservice and supply chain\nSysco is committed to Employment Equity.
