This role requires a higher level of skill and responsibility, demonstrating increased efficiency, accuracy, and the ability to handle more complex orders.\nResponsibilities\nHand-select orders within various warehouse environments with fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer areas.\n\nOperate the Sysco Order Selection (SOS) unit to scan and create labels, ensuring labels are correctly placed on products.\n\nStack product on pallets following proper selecting procedures (e.g., no heavy-on-light, labels facing outward).\n\nFrequently lift products weighing 1-75 pounds and up to 88 pounds; regularly reach, bend, and twist while operating a pallet jack and/or forklift, including retrieving items from lower shelves.\n\nOperate an electric pallet jack or forklift to transport product.\n\nStage pallets for loading at the proper dock locations.\n\nShrink-wrap product on the loading dock.\n\nFollow all sanitation requirements and company policies.\n\nMaintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including pallet jacks, SOS units, and personal protective equipment. Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and safely operate all mechanical equipment.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nMust be 18+ years of age.\n\nAble to read, write, and communicate effectively in English as required for the role and safety regulations.\n\nMust pass all pre-employment testing (Background Check, Physical Abilities Test).\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n\nWarehouse experience is an asset, but not required.\n\nHours of Work\n\nStart times are 2:00PM or 6:00PM\n\nMust be able to work flexible hours based on operational requirements and business needs.\n\nWork most statutory holidays; receive “floater” time off in lieu, which can be booked like vacation.\n\nCompensation\nStart: $24.64 per hour\n\nAfter 1,000 hours $25.40 per hour\n\nAfter 2,000 hours: $26.17 per hour\n\nAfter 3,000 hours: $26.88 per hour\n\nAfter 4,000 hours: $27.58 per hour\n\nAfter 5,000 hours: $27.94 per hour\n\nAfter 6,000 hours: $28.28 per hour\n\nAfter 7,000 hours: $28.67 per hour\n\nAfter 8,000 hours: $29.07 per hour\n\nNight shift premium (as applicable).\nEligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.\nSysco is committed to Employment Equity.
