This includes counting and sorting produce, repetitive lifting of raw material with weights of up to 50+ lbs, moving boxes and organizing workstations, and operating power equipment to move pallets in the warehouse.\nShift Schedule -\n1). Option 2 - 08:30 a.m. - 05:00 p.m. Tuesday & Saturday Off\nPay Range - $ 19.35/hr\nResponsibilities\nSort and grade products to ensure Food Safety requirements are met.\nAccurate piece count of produce to meet customer order requirements.\nSafely load workstations with raw material to prep for re-pack.\nRe-pack of raw material from large pack size orders to small size packages.\nRepetitive lifting of raw material with weights of up to 50+ lbs.\nOperate power equipment such as power jack, hand jack or forklift to move and arrange products as required.\nAssist in obtaining raw material from walk-in coolers as directed by Line Lead or Packing Supervisor.\nSanitize, wipe and clean workstations to maintain overall cleanliness of areas.\nFrequent moving and arranging of boxes to maintain an organized and safe work environment.\nComplies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.\nIs willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.\n Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.\n Perform other duties as assigned\nSkills\nCertifications\nEducation\nNo education required\nExperience\n0-1 years of experience\nPrevious experience working in food distribution, manufacturing or similar environment considered an asset.\nPrevious experience working with power equipment including power jack, hand jack, forklift or similar considered an asset.\nPhysical Demands\nReasonable accommodations will be taken where necessary\nFrequent twisting, bending and repetitive lifting of up to 50+ lbs throughout work shift.\nStanding for the whole duration of the work shift.\nMay be required to operate power equipment.\nTravel Requirements\n0-25%\nSysco is committed to Employment Equity.
