Factors that may be used to determine rate of pay include specific skills, work location, work experience and other individualized factors\nJOB SUMMARY\nThe Production Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Production and Production Warehouse departments at multiple locations and is the key contact for all IT/technical issues. The Production Manager also creates, monitors and manages expense and capital budgets, leads associates and manages all aspects of employee engagement.\n RESPONSIBILITIES\nDevelop and maintain production plans to ensure orders are completed on time\n\nDetermine the headcount requirements and labor utilization needed to achieve production and business goals\n\nSchedule equipment and team resources needed to support each production plan\n\nTrack component yield rates ensuring that actual results meet or exceed business goals\n\nManage work order maintenance ensuring that work orders are audited and closed inappropriate fiscal periods\n\nSet performance metrics for each department to track and monitor productivity\n\nEnsure metrics support business goals\n\nBenchmark metrics utilizing both internal and external resources\n\nDevelop and monitor annual department budgets\n\nPlan and manage resources to achieve budget goals while delivering the required output\nTrack actual expenses vs budget\n\nAssure that department expenses are in line with budget goals Direct, coordinate and monitor the daily activities & performance standards for Production and Production Warehouse departments to assure compliance of standard Company policies, procedures, quality, and safety\n\nCoach and develop Supervisors and team in balancing the delivery of high productivity, quality and customer service\n\nMaintain a positive and safe work environment. Oversee employee relations and participate in staff selection, performance and compensation evaluations, corrective action and terminations, as necessary\n\nEstablish performance goals, monitor progress and provide feedback as necessary\n\nManage employee performance through motivation, delegation, development, mentoring and resolving conflict\n\nTake corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy\n\nDevelop, provide and/or coordinate training as needed\n\nConsult with Human Resources Department as appropriate\n\nConduct regular department meetings to foster employee engagement, communicate any changes to company policies and procedures, address employee concerns, foster idea-sharing and suggestions for improvement\n\nOrder/procure materials and services as needed\n\nServe as key IT, telecom and systems contact for the business unit\n\nIdentify and implement key areas for improvement in each department\n\nMaintain a presence and availability across all shifts\n\nProvide and maintain a safe work environment by directing safety training, generating and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)\n\nCoordinate emergency response or crisis management activities\n\nCoordinate efforts with the Safety Department to aid in training, conducting associate observations, updating preferred work methods, conducting accident investigations to determine root causes and routine safety inspections\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n Education\nHigh School diploma or general education degree (GED) required\nBachelor of Science in a Business Management preferred\nExperience\n7+ years of Production and/or Manufacturing in a food environment of which at least 2 are leading a team. HACCP and GMP certifications preferred.\n Skills\nExcellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and professional interactive skills are necessary to perform at a high degree of proficiency\n\nAbility to effectively coach, present information and respond to questions from management, inter-department staff, customers, suppliers and other third party agencies\nCapable of working with internal staff from other departments in a proactive and constructive manner\n\nAbility to mentor and develop individuals and teams. Able to engage and lead team discussions and meetings\n\nUnderstands team dynamics and works well within a team structure. Collaborative management style.
