Factors that may be used to determine your actual rate of pay include your specific skills, years of experience and other factors.\nYou may be eligible to participate in the Company's Incentive Plan.BENEFITS INFORMATION:\nFor information on Sysco’s Benefits, please visit https://SyscoBenefits.comJOB SUMMARY\nResponsible for inspecting the product to identify quality issues and assisting with product repacking as needed.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nProvide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.\n\nConduct daily walk-through of assigned coolers to check the quality of the product and identify any quality issues.\n\nCheck dates of product for proper product rotation by date.\n\nRemove any distressed product, determine what product needs reworking and what product should be discarded.\n\nRework all distressed/damaged products.\n\nCommunicate quality issues to buyers, management, and associates.\n\nReport all lost products or transfers.\n\nAssure that all inventory is properly blocked and labeled.\n\nAssist in inventory counts.\n\nInstructs handlers in the proper method of loading trucks.\n\nAll product loaded must be transported without damage\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation\nPrefer High School or GED\n Experience\nA minimum of two (2) years related experience (knowledge of produce industry preferred).\nSkills\nAbility to operate warehouse power equipment.\n\nAbility to interact with others in a professional manner.\n\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\n\nGeneral understanding of the shipping procedures of a high-volume warehouse operation.\n\nSolid understanding of produce varieties handled in a wholesale operation.\n\n Decision Making Authority\nMost important decisions made fully independently:\nIdentifying quality issues,\nMost important decisions made with review and approval of other individuals or supervisors (include the reviews/approvals required):\nAll work regularly reviewed by the supervisor and manager.\n Other Information\nSome stooping and bending required.\n\nAbility to manually inspect produce efficiently for periods of up to or exceeding eight (8) hours.\n\nThey must be able to move around the work area freely.\n\nFrequent lifting of the product up to 50 lbs. during the shift, infrequent lifting to 80 lbs.\n\nExternal Job Posting\n\nOVERVIEW:\nSysco is the global leader in foodservice distribution.
