Gathers and records delivery time information and delivery status on selected accounts. Routes orders for next day deliveries, along with assisting with other functions required of the transportation department.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nAdminister the routing system by manually routing orders using RoadNet.\nPerforming maintenance on the routing system.\nSet up new accounts for the routing system.\nPrints and sorts pick tickets for distribution to shippers.\nPreforms dispatching functions.\nReconciles driver manifest.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation\nHigh School or GED.\nExperience\nMinimum of 3 years’ experience in a transportation/warehouse environment.\nProfessional Skills\nKnowledge of delivery areas.\nGood communication skills\nAbility to multi-task\nDetail-oriented\nMust be able to use a computer terminal effectively, as well as other office equipment.\nPhysical Demand\nRegularly required to talk and hear.\nAbility to sit for extended periods.\nMust be able to perform data entry functions continuously.\n DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY\nMost important decisions made fully independently:\nRouting of orders and trucks.\nMost important decisions made with review and approval of other individuals or supervisors (include the reviews/approvals required):\nAll work regularly reviewed by the supervisor and manager.\nOVERVIEW:\nSysco is the global leader in foodservice distribution.
