Factors that may be used to determine rate of pay include specific skills, work location, work experience and other individualized factors\nSUMMARY\nThis position works closely with all areas of the organization (Warehouse, Merchandising, Pricing, Accounting and other departments at Corporate) to ensure customer expectations are achieved. The associate must possess excellent customer relations management skills, time management skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and written, at all levels.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nProcess incoming orders to meet departmental and warehouse requirements. \nWork with buyers and warehouse personnel to ensure customer order needs are fulfilled. \nResolve questions/problems associated with but not limited to order placement, order modification, customer billing and payments, pricing, delivery of orders and product information.\nAccurately complete and submit forms for National Account special orders processing to the Supervisor, Customer Service & National Accounts.\nSubmit freight claims to freight carriers in timely manner.\nEnter Vendor Return Orders as needed in SUS.\nIssue customer-call tags via postal mail or email; contact freight carriers to arrange LTL pickups for returns; and enter pickups in SUS for returns to the warehouse.\nProvide proactive follow-up communications to customers and management team as necessary. \nUnderstand and comply with all applicable company policies (i.e. attendance, Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Associate Handbook).\nComply with all applicable State/Federal laws, regulations, and policies (i.e. OSHA, HACCP, AIB).\nReport any unresolved issues to supervisor.\nObserve all safety rules in an effort to reduce accidents and injuries and report any unsafe conditions to supervisor.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of Sysco product (or knowledge of foodservice supplies and equipment) and SUS system preferred.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nMust have effective written and oral communication skills with good vocabulary, proper grammar and the ability to independently compose written communications. Must have the ability to accurately listen to customer inquiries and use experience and judgment to meet customer needs. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nMust have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to compute discounts, rate, ratio, and percent.\nREASONING ABILITY\nMust be able to work in a proactive manner, address issues, and solve problems by using previous education and experience in identifying appropriate actions. Problems will vary in complexity and there will not always be a clearly defined solution.
