The Sales Consultant Trainee works closely with experienced Sales Consultants and other team members to learn Sysco's sales processes, product offerings, and customer service standards.\nLocation: Golden, BC\nResponsibilities\nProspect for new business opportunities and generate leads.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. \nPresent Sysco's products and services to customers, addressing their needs and providing solutions.\nPrepare sales proposals and presentations.\nNegotiate pricing and contracts within established guidelines.\nProcess customer orders and ensure accurate and timely delivery.\nProvide excellent customer service and resolve customer issues.\nCollaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, credit, marketing) to support customer needs.\nMaintain accurate sales records and reports using CRM and other sales tools.\nParticipate in sales meetings, training programs, and other development activities.\nSkills\nAbility to build rapport and establish customer relationships.\nBasic sales and negotiation skills.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nAbility to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.\nProficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).\nCertifications\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in related discipline or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree\nExperience\n0-2+ years of experience\nPhysical Demands\nRequires frequent driving, standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs).\nTravel Requirements\n0-25%\nSysco is committed to Employment Equity.
