This is an entry-level position that works under the guidance of supervisors,\nShift Schedule: 07:00 a.m. - 03:30 p.m.\nPay: $19.50/hr\nResponsibilities\nConduct deep cleaning procedures by following the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures written by the Food Safety Program Technologist.\nMaintain grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and trash removal.\nPerform basic repairs to building structures, such as walls, floors, ceilings, doors, and windows.\nOperate and maintain basic hand and power tools and equipment safely and effectively.\nCheck and replenish supplies in break rooms, lunchrooms, washrooms, mops washroom, first aid room weekly.\nFollow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.\nAssist with cleaning underneath the dock plates when scheduled.\nRespond to maintenance requests and address issues promptly and efficiently.\nAssist with setting up and tearing down for events or meetings.\nHandle sanitation chemicals in accordance with proper safety procedures.\nSkills\nAbility to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.\nBasic troubleshooting skills.\nBe able to work in freezer and coolers for long periods of time.\nAbility to follow instructions and procedures.\nAttention to detail and accuracy.\nPhysical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.\nGood communication and interpersonal skills.\nWillingness to learn and develop technical skills.\nBasic computer skills may be required.\nRequired to work in outdoor work environments with varying temperatures.\nCertifications\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or GED\nExperience\n0-1+ years of experience\nPhysical Demands\nReasonable accommodations will be taken where necessary\nTravel Requirements\n0-25%\nSysco is committed to Employment Equity.
