For fiscal year 2025 that ended June 29, 2025, the company generated sales of more than $81.4 billion.\nSysco LABS Sri Lanka delivers the technology that powers Sysco’s end-to-end operations.\nSysco LABS’ enterprise technology is present in the end-to-end foodservice journey, enabling the sourcing of food products, merchandising, storage and warehouse operations, order placement and pricing algorithms, the delivery of food and supplies to Sysco’s global network and the in-restaurant dining experience of the end-customer.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are currently on the lookout for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team.\nResponsibilities:\nDesigning and developing data solutions for one of the world’s largest corporations involved in the marketing and distribution of food products\nImplementing distributed and highly available data processing applications that scale for enterprise demands on Cloud Services such as GCP\nDesign, develop and maintain data pipelines integrating multiple source systems and targets.\nAdhering to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery of solutions\nEnsuring high code quality by following software engineering best practices\nWorking collaboratively in a cross-functional team in an Agile delivery environment\nAdhering to DevOps principles and being involved in projects throughout their full software lifecycle: from development, QA, and deployment to post-production support\nRequirements:\nA Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, and 3+ years of experience in developing enterprise-grade data processing applications\nA strong programming background in data ops (Python, Shell, SQL)\nExperience in processing large volumes of data\nHands-on experience working with relational/NoSQL databases and distributed storage engines\nHands-on experience in ETL/ELT design and development using ETL/ELT tools such as but not limited to Airflow;
