Please note that the number of days on-site can increase based on business needs.\nJob Summary:\nThe Senior Network Engineer is responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure across the enterprise. This role focuses on hands-on technical work including performance monitoring, issue resolution, and configuration management. The Senior Network Engineer works closely with architecture and security teams to ensure operational excellence and supports the stability, scalability, and security of all network services.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDeploy, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure across global data centers and remote sites. (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, etc.)\nMonitor and optimize network performance using industry-standard tools to ensure high availability and reliability across diverse time zones.\nMaintain accurate documentation of network topology, configurations, and operational procedures.\nTroubleshoot complex issues involving routing, switching, firewalls, wireless systems, and connectivity between international locations.\nExecute network changes and updates following change management processes.\nSupport the administration of Cisco network gear along with Palo Alto, Checkpoint, and F5 solutions.\nPerform firmware upgrades, patches, and configuration changes in line with change management protocols.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams-including architecture, security, and cloud operations-to support integrated infrastructure projects.\nWork with vendors and service providers to maintain uptime and support.\nDocument configuration standards and network diagrams to support scalability and incident response.\nProvide input on network designs and participate in the evaluation of new technologies.\nEnsure compliance with security standards and assist in audits or remediation tasks.\nServe as a technical escalation point for network-related incidents and problems.\nParticipate in on-call rotation and global incident escalations to ensure 24x7 uptime coverage.\nEducation Required:\nBachelor’s degree in information systems, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field of study. Related experience may be considered in lieu of required formal education\nExperience:\n5-7 years of experience in network engineering, including configuration, troubleshooting, and support of enterprise networks.\nLicenses/Certifications Required:\nProfessional Industry Certifications in the area of Network infrastructure, such as CCNP, CCIE\nLicenses/Certifications Preferred:\nIndustry Certifications in Networking, Cyber, wireless, telecom, or other infrastructure areas\nTechnical Skills:\nStrong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching platforms (Catalyst, Nexus)\nConfiguration and support of Cisco and/or Juniper routers and switches\nNetwork monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, NetFlow, Wireshark)\nFirewall administration (e.g., Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA)\nLoad balancer configuration and troubleshooting (F5 LTM/GTM)\nWireless networking (e.g., Cisco, HP/Aruba)\nIP addressing and protocols: IPv4/IPv6, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DNS, DHCP\nVLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, port-channeling\nTCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF\nNetwork change and incident management processes\nFamiliarity with SD-WAN and basic cloud networking concepts (AWS/GCP/Azure)\nNetwork monitoring and packet analysis tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, NetFlow)\nSolid understanding of global WAN technologies, VPN, and remote access infrastructure\nBENEFITS INFORMATION:\nFor information on Sysco’s Benefits, please visit https://SyscoBenefits.comOVERVIEW:\nSysco is the global leader in foodservice distribution.
