This role requires the highest level of of integrity and confidentiality ensuring the Company is in compliance with its legal obligations with regard to specified tax & insurance documents. Position manages one full-time and one part-time associate.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nRequired:\nBachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Business Administration, Insurance and/or related field.\n\nMinimum of 7 years' experience with Multi-State and Federal taxes, multi-state business insurance, and contract administration.\n\nAdvanced proficiency in Excel, Access & Word\n\nExcellent communication, organization and time management skills\n\nAbility to prioritize, work within assigned deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively to accomplish organizational objectives.\n\nAbility to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and ethical standards in all Company dealings on a daily basis and ability to foster strong, open lines of communication across all levels of the organization.\n\nExpertise and understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), Internal Revenue Code, and state tax compliance.\n\nPreferred:\nSupervisory experience\n\nCPA certification and tax experience\n\nFamiliarity with tax planning and experience in tax compliance and regulatory reporting.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES\nOversee daily banking activities and tax compliance for multiple taxing states and jurisdictions.\n\nResponsible for maintaining current knowledge base for laws pertaining to Federal and State taxes to appropriately perform job functions.\n\nResponsible for assisting outside tax advisors with preparation of year-end tax reporting (including 1099’s).\n\nComplete and submit other permits and licenses (i.e. Casino applications) and renewals for State, City, and Tribal Casino Licensing in a timely manner.\n\nReport litigation for claims covered by insurance and with direction from senior management.\n\nSummarize company requirements and track/ calculate State and Local Tax Incentive Agreements.\n\nOversee compliance with local and state licensing agencies.\n\nResponsible for the overall management of certificate of insurance maintenance.\n\nManage, train and develop direct reports to enhance their career development.\n\nOVERVIEW:\nSysco is the global leader in foodservice distribution.
