Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, expense management, compliance with government regulations, ensuring safety and security of the building, its contents and people and management and direction to facility maintenance staff.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nSupervises the daily work and safety of associates engaged in building, grounds, sanitation, refrigeration systems, beverage department, power industrial equipment, and security.\nReview, coach, and develop the maintenance associates.\nMonitoring work, adherence to policy and safety requirements. Issuing discipline when necessary.\nMaintains associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings.\nFacilitates on-going interaction.\nKeeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures; monitors associate morale.\nSubmits and responds to ideas to improve associate engagement and enablement.\nSupervises the proper selection, purchase, utilization, and inventory of company assets in support of the facilities, beverage department, and power industrial equipment and security departments.\nCoordinates with other departments as necessary to ensure upgrades and repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.\nAssist with developing business relationships to ensure communication and efficient operations with third-party vendors, including but not limited to, janitorial, pest services, security, external contractors, facility maintenance and beverage.\nMaintains current certificate of insurance and hold harmless agreements for all contracted vendors.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation\nHigh School diploma or equivalent.\nExperience\n3 years of on-the-job maintenance experience with electric pallet jacks and electric forklifts.\nUnderstanding of general building maintenance, refrigeration, plumbing, processing equipment, welding, and AIB preparation.\nProfessional Skills\nAbility to manage and motivate.\nAble to solve problems and effectively articulate and communicate information.\n DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY\nMost important decisions made fully independently:\nParts on hand (inventory).\nTaking equipment out of service.\nTraining mechanics and employee’s on preferred work methods (PWMs).\nLOTO\nMost important decisions made with review and approval of other individuals or supervisors (include the reviews/approvals required):\nHiring/Termination (Manager, VP, and President).\nCorrective Actions (Manager, VP, and HR).\nPurchase of equipment (forklift, jacks, dollies, etc..)
