This role requires safe and efficient operation of a reach truck and other powered industrial equipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nReach Truck Operation\nOperate a reach truck to put away received shipments into designated home, overflow, or bulk storage locations.\nTransport products from receiving and staging areas to warehouse storage locations.\nMove palletized goods safely throughout the warehouse facility.\nFollow all equipment operating procedures and safety requirements.\nShipping & Receiving\nUnload inbound shipments and transport products to receiving and staging areas.\nInspect, count, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.\nIdentify and document shortages, overages, damages, or discrepancies.\nEnsure all required shipping and receiving documentation is completed accurately.\nObtain all necessary signatures on driver paperwork before release.\nWrap pallets by machine or hand to ensure product stability and safe storage.\nInventory Management\nPerform replenishment activities by transferring products from storage to primary pick locations.\nConsolidate inventory to maximize warehouse space utilization.\nConduct count checks and inventory audits to maintain accurate inventory levels.\nSupport item demand and stock replenishment processes.\nOrder Picking & Shipping\nReceive products using the appropriate purchase order information.\nComplete discrepancy reports for damaged, missing, or excess inventory.\nBreak down and organize products by item number.\nPick customer orders accurately and efficiently.\nBuild and stack pallets for outbound shipments.\nVerify staged pallets for accuracy and shipping readiness.\nAdjust pallet quantities to ensure even weight distribution and secure transportation.\nWarehouse Housekeeping & Safety\nMaintain clean work areas, dock spaces, and warehouse aisles.\nFollow all company safety policies and procedures.\nOperate warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.\nParticipate in ongoing safety and housekeeping initiatives.\nQualifications/Skills/Job Requirements: \nMinimum 2 years of reach truck operating experience required.\nValid Reach Truck Certification required.\nExperience operating powered industrial trucks, including stand-up reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and pallet jacks.\nExperience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), such as HighJump or PeopleSoft, is an asset.\nExperience using RF scanners or voice-directed picking systems is preferred.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nAbility to lift and move up to 50 lbs repeatedly.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced warehouse environment.\nFlexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends as required.\nSysco is committed to Employment Equity.
