Factors that may be used to determine rate of pay include specific skills, work location, work experience and other individualized factors\nJOB SUMMARY:\nUnder general supervision, the associate will accurately and efficiently select products in the warehouse. Prepare products for shipping by stacking in an orderly and stable configuration, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.\n RESPONSIBILITIES\nRead customer order from label screen and select product by slot and description.\n\nAssemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets in the proper sequence.\n\nAttach labels on product.\n\nProperly operate an electric pallet jack (2-pallet length) to proceed to correct slot location, and transport product to dock area for staging.\n\nHandle products with the necessary care.\n\nReport any damage of merchandise, equipment or facility to a supervisor.\n\nPerform daily equipment checks.\n\nAssist in the clean-up of the facility and sign off on the daily cleaning area that the supervisor may assign.\n\nSign in and out for all equipment when used.\n\nUse basic communication skills to understand work systems, instructions, etc.\n\nAdhere to all applicable GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), personal hygiene, and SQF (Safe Quality Food) policies and procedures as described in the European Imports - Sysco Food Safety Training Manual.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\n QUALIFICATIONS\nMinimum Requirements\nMust be at least 18 years of age.\n\n0 - 1 Year relevant work experience.\n\nFrequently lift product that weighs 10lb - 75lbs and up to 100lbs.\n\nFrequently reach up to 72 inches.\n\nConstantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, retrieving products from lower shelf areas.\n\nWork in very extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).\n\nWork on your feet for 10 - 12 hours daily.\n\nPreferred Requirements\n1 year experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.\n\n1 year of warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.\n\n1 year Selection Experience.\n\n2 years consistent work history preferred.\n\nBENEFITS INFORMATION:\nFor information on Sysco’s Benefits, please visit https://SyscoBenefits.comOVERVIEW:\nSysco is the global leader in foodservice distribution.
