You'll develop the technical expertise, problem-solving mindset, and operational understanding needed to help shape the future of Fleet Engineering at Sysco.\nYou’ll gain hands-on experience across the full fleet lifecycle, from vehicle specification and fleet planning through to engineering, maintenance, compliance, and continuous improvement. Working alongside experienced fleet engineers, compliance specialists, maintenance providers, and operational leaders, you'll build the knowledge and confidence to make a real impact on a critical part of our business.\nThe first six months of your programme will be spent fully immersing yourself in our Operations and Distribution business. This will involve working as part of both our warehouse and transport teams, experiencing day and night shifts, and gaining a thorough understanding of how we operate and deliver for our customers.\nFollowing this induction period, you’ll be supporting fleet projects and initiatives across our UK network. Through key placements in Fleet Build & Planning, Fleet Engineering & Maintenance, and Compliance, you'll gain experience in:\nFleet specification, procurement, and vehicle lifecycle planning \nFleet engineering and maintenance strategies \nVehicle performance, reliability, and asset optimisation \nTransport legislation, vehicle compliance, and regulatory requirements \nSupporting the introduction of new vehicle technologies and sustainability initiatives \nWorking with maintenance providers, manufacturers, and operational teams \nParticipation in fleet improvement and engineering projects \nData analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring \nDevelopment of technical procedures, standards, and documentation \nContinuous improvement initiatives that enhance fleet safety, efficiency, and customer service \nYou’ll also be fully supported to complete various technical training to support your journey to Chartership. This is your chance to make an impact, learn from industry experts, and kick start your career.\nKey Information:\nThis programme is based from our Grantham site but will require travel across the UK to our depot and office locations. In addition, there will be graduate workshops and other key business events that may take place at sites across the UK. \nThere is potential for a company car in year 2 of the programme dependent on your project sites. \nPlacement rotations will be a combination of fully onsite and hybrid working models \n39hrs a week, Monday - Friday (some night shift working during initial induction period so that you get to experience our full operation) \nWhat you’ll need to succeed:\nA minimum of a 2:1 or above Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering degree field \nPassion for vehicles and interest in pursuing a career in Fleet Engineering \nDriving licence and access to transport \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills \nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment & independently \nAnalytical and problem-solving abilities \nProactive, adaptable, and eager to learn \nInitiative and a growth mindset \nThe Application Process:\nIf you’re interested in joining us - apply now!
