This is the senior operational\nleadership role in the Cyber Security team under our 2026 operating model: you\nown the SOC service, lead the security engineers and analysts, and act as the\nescalation point for major security incidents across our client base.\nThis is a\nleadership and delivery role. You will run the operation, develop the people\nand own the service - including operational delivery of our Zscaler zero trust\nestate.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nLeadership\n·Lead, coach and develop the\ncyber operations engineers and analysts - 1:1s, development plans, hiring and\nsuccession.\n·Own capacity, shift and on-call\nplanning for a 24/7 security service.\n·Set and track the team's\ncertification and capability plan against the SysGroup role framework.\n·Own operational reporting:\nclient-facing security reports, KPIs and continual service improvement.\nSecurity operations\n·Own SOC/SIEM service delivery:\ndetection coverage, use-case tuning, triage quality and shift handovers.\n·Act as major incident lead for\nsecurity events: containment, client communication and post-incident review.\n·Own the vulnerability\nmanagement lifecycle across managed clients: scan, triage, remediate, report.\n·Set the standard for EDR and\nsecurity tooling configuration, health and response playbooks.\n·Own operational delivery of the\nZscaler zero trust estate (ZIA/ZPA): onboarding, policy lifecycle, tuning and\nupgrades.\n·Support Risk & Compliance\nengagements (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus) with operational evidence.\n·Embed AI-assisted workflows\n(triage, enrichment, reporting) into the SOC and measure the gains.\nExperience\n·5+ years in security operations\nwithin an MSP/MSSP or equivalent multi-client environment.\n·3+ years leading engineers or\nanalysts, including performance and development responsibility.\n·Track record running major\nsecurity incidents end-to-end, including executive-level communication.\n·Operational experience with\nZscaler (or equivalent SSE/zero trust platform) is a strong advantage.\nCertifications\n·Essential (or equivalent\nexperience): Microsoft SC-200, plus an incident response credential such as\nGIAC GCIH.\n·Desirable: Zscaler\nprofessional-level certification (ZIA/ZPA), SC-300, AZ-500, ISO 27001 Lead\nImplementer, CISSP or CISM.\nBenefits\nWhy Join Us?\nJoining Sysgroup means becoming part of a\ndynamic and innovative team that is dedicated to excellence.
