This role is\nresponsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality security consultancy\nservices to clients across a range of sectors, helping organisations\nunderstand, manage, and reduce cyber risk.\nThe successful candidate will manage the delivery of concurrent\nsecurity engagements, provide trusted advisory services, support business\ndevelopment activities, and mentor junior consultants. They will possess a\nstrong understanding of cyber security frameworks, governance, risk management,\ncompliance requirements, and technical security principles, as well as strong\nleadership, organisational and project management skills.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced\nconsultant who enjoys driving quality, leading teams, working directly with\nclients, solving complex security challenges, and contributing to the growth of\na dynamic cyber security practice.\nKey Responsibilities\nClient Delivery Management\nLeadand manage the delivery of cyber security consulting engagements for\nclients of varying sizes and sectors.\n\nManagea team of consultants delivering cyber security maturity assessments, gap\nanalyses, and risk assessments.\n\nManagethe delivery of security strategy, governance, risk, and compliance\nprojects.\n\nAdviseclients on security best practices, emerging threats, and regulatory\nrequirements.\n\nDevelopand present security roadmaps and improvement plans.\n\nSupportclients in achieving certifications and compliance objectives, including:\n\nISO27001\n\nCyber Essentials and CyberEssentials Plus\n\nNISTCybersecurity Framework\n\nCISControls\n\nGDPRand Data Protection requirements\n\nDORAand other sector-specific regulations where applicable\n\nReviewclient-ready security policies, standards, and procedures developed by\njunior team members.\n\nFacilitateworkshops, stakeholder interviews, and executive briefings.\n\nAssurethe quality of reports, recommendations, and client deliverables.\n\nTechnical and Risk Advisory\nManagesecurity reviews of infrastructure, cloud environments, and business\nprocesses.\n\nProvideguidance on security architecture and secure design principles.\n\nSupportvulnerability management and remediation planning activities.\n\nReviewthird-party supplier security controls and risks.\n\nContributeto incident response preparedness and cyber resilience programmes.\n\nAssistclients in understanding and prioritising cyber risks.\n\nBusiness Development\nSupportpre-sales activities including discovery workshops and client\npresentations.\n\nManageproposals, statements of work, and tender responses.\n\nIdentifyopportunities for additional services and client engagement.\n\nBuildtrusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.\n\nLeadership and Team Contribution\nMentorand support junior consultants.\n\nContributeto the development of consulting methodologies, templates, and service\nofferings.\n\nShareknowledge and best practices across the wider cyber security team.\n\nSupportrecruitment, onboarding, and capability development initiatives where\nrequired.\n\nRequirements\nRequirements\n·Minimum\n6 years' experience in cyber security consulting, advisory, risk, governance in\na professional services firm, with at least 1 year as a team manager.\n·Strong\nunderstanding of information security principles and risk management\nmethodologies.\n·Experience\nmanaging the delivery of security consultancy projects directly to clients.\n·Knowledge\nof cyber security frameworks and standards including:\n-ISO 27001\n-NIST CSF\n-CIS Controls\n-Cyber Essentials\n·Experience\nmanaging client risk assessments and security maturity reviews.\n·Strong\nstakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.\n·Ability\nto communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical\naudiences.\n·Experience\nreviewing and providing quality assurance for professional reports and\npresenting recommendations to senior management.\n·Strong\nleadership, project management and organisational skills.\nExperienceworking within regulated industries.\n\nCertifications (Desirable)\nOne or more of the following:\nCISSP\nCISM\nCRISC\nISO27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor\n\nBenefits\nWhy Join Us?\nJoining Sysgroup means becoming part of a dynamic and\ninnovative team that is dedicated to excellence.
