Business Development Representative (Americas)

Builds new pipeline of new customer prospects by reaching out to mid-market manufacturers and distributors that fit Syspro's ideal customer profile by phone, email, and LinkedIn to create marketing-acquired leads (MALs) and qualify and convert them into marketing-qualified leads (MQLs). Also responds to inbound marketing-acquired leads (MALs) and qualifies by phone and email to convert them into marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) to pass along to the sales team.

Responsibilities

• Responds to every new marketing-accepted lead (MAL) by phone and email within the target response window, so no inbound contact goes cold.
• Works target lists of existing contacts (past inquiries, quiet leads, event and webinar attendees, extended contacts) and select new target accounts to restart conversations and create pipeline.
• Runs structured, multi-touch cadences across phone, email, and LinkedIn, adjusting tone, message, and timing to each contact's industry, role, and buying signals.
• Researches each account before reaching out, so every message gives the prospect a clear reason to reply.
• Qualifies each contact against Syspro's ideal customer profile, need, timeline, and authority through a real conversation, not a script.
• Converts qualified contacts to marketing qualified leads MQLs in HubSpot with accurate notes, so Sales Team can pick up the conversation without asking the prospect to repeat themselves.
• Owns weekly and monthly targets for conversations, meetings booked, MQLs created, and speed to lead, set by the Global VP Marketing and Demand Generation, and reports progress against them.
• Uses the Agentic AI SDR and marketing automation tools to prioritize the day's outreach list, personalize messages at scale, and follow up with contacts who have gone quiet.
• Partners with Sales Team on handoff quality, flagging deal context, objections, and buying signals so the next conversation starts a step ahead.
• Tracks which messages, segments, contact lists, and campaign sources produce replies and meetings, and uses the patterns to sharpen targeting and messaging.

Requirements

Minimum Level of Education

• Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or business-related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum Experience

• 1 to 2 years in a business development, sales development, tele sales, or inside sales role, ideally in B2B technology or service.
• Experience in phone and email prospecting experience and CRM experience with HubSpot or Salesforce

• Confident, consultative phone and email communication that builds trust quickly.
• Active listening and objection handling that qualifies fit rather than just booking a call.
• Organized daily follow-up discipline across a high volume of contacts.

• Clear, accurate CRM hygiene so handoffs to Sales Americas do not lose information.
• Collaborative, target-driven mindset and comfort with AI-assisted outreach tools.
