We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Product Extension Team in Copenhagen. You will bring senior test expertise to a small team that builds integrations and extensions for Systematic's defence products, with real influence on how we test and improve. \nThe job\nAs the team's senior tester, you will be its quality advocate, driving how we test and improve across the full development lifecycle. You will combine hands-on test execution with real influence over our testing tools, methods and processes.\nIn short, you can look forward to:\nPlanning, estimating and executing test activities, and contributing to test estimates in project planning\nDriving quality across the development lifecycle through risk-based test design\nDeveloping and maintaining system-level automated tests that support feature testing\nChallenging developers and projects on where automation makes the most sense, including weak points in developer-driven tests\nImproving our test tools, methods and processes\nYou should expect occasional travel of around five to ten days a year, mostly within Europe. Some onsite hardware testing may also be required, depending on integration needs.\nJoining the team\nYou will be part of the Product Extension Team in Defence Services, around seven developers, test engineers and architects. The team delivers software and hardware integrations such as sensor interfaces, radio drivers and interoperability solutions with external systems, so our customers get functionality tailored to their needs without compromising on quality or maintainability. As the team's senior tester, you will work closely with developers, architects, project management, external system providers and customer representatives, and share your knowledge by mentoring our junior test engineer and running workshops.\nYour qualifications\nTo succeed in this role, you bring solid experience in software and/or systems testing, along with:\nA Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Technology or similar\nExperience with test management and test design methods\nThe ability to drive the implementation of test frameworks and tools, and to review and adapt existing automated test setups\nFamiliarity with integrations, APIs, protocols and hardware validation setups\nExperience with tools like JUnit, Cucumber, Playwright, Jira, Xray, Karma and TeamCity, or similar\nFluent English; Danish is a nice-to-have \nISTQB Foundation certification, or similar, is an advantage but not a requirement.\nAlongside this, we value:\nA proactive and independent approach, with strong analytical skills and a risk-based mindset\nAn ability to build relationships and work across teams and projects\nCuriosity about customer needs and how the system is actually used\nA willingness to share information openly and help others learn\nPlease note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects.
