As a Solution Engineer in our new Paris team, you will deploy and integrate our software in real customer environments, working with a high degree of autonomy and in close collaboration with customers and end users.\nSystematic is a Danish software company with over 1200 employees across Europe and beyond, building mission-critical IT solutions for defence, healthcare and public safety. Our defence products are trusted by militaries across NATO, helping armed forces share information, coordinate operations and make faster, better decisions in the field.\nWe are now growing our presence in France, and this role is central to that ambition.\nThe role: Engineer and integrate mission-critical customer solutions\nAs Solution Engineer for Systematic France, your core responsibility will be to deploy, implement and integrate our systems in the technical environments of the French Army and other customers. This is a hands-on system engineering role with close customer interaction, focused on configuring complete solutions, understanding the underlying hardware and infrastructure, and resolving issues in operational environments.\nIn short, you can look forward to:\ndeploying, configuring and integrating Systematic products in customer environments\ntroubleshooting, fault-finding and providing technical assurance of our solutions\nworking side by side with customers during deployments and critical periods, such as military exercises, to ensure the complete solution performs reliably in its operational environment\nbuilding strong, productive relationships with partners and end users\nsupporting the delivery of technical training for customers\nIn this role, you should expect 30-40 travel days a year, mainly domestic travel to customer sites in France, with some international travel for customer activities and internal training.\nJoining the team: new location, local impact, part of an international organisation\nYou will be joining our Defence Services business, a multidisciplinary group of 160 people in based in 14 countries around the world, covering project management, solution architecture, engineering, training and consultancy. As a member of our team in France, you will collaborate with colleagues across this organisation. Based at our office in Issy-les-Moulineaux, you will work alongside a project manager and a solution architect, and closely with our business developers.\nOur hybrid setup includes three days a week in the office when you are not working at customer sites.\nThe work is varied and the stakes are real: our solutions help the French military operate seamlessly with its allies. You will collaborate closely with experienced colleagues across Europe and contribute to something that genuinely matters.\nWhat you bring: hands-on engineering experience with a customer-facing mindset\nYour technical competence is essential. You bring hands-on experience from system engineering, DevOps or a related engineering background and know how to implement technical solutions in customer environments. You do not need to be a software developer, but you must be able to understand how software interacts with hardware, infrastructure and the wider system. Experience from defence or another operationally demanding environment would be an advantage.\nWe are also looking for:\nan engineering or master degree in a relevant subject\nexperience installing and managing Windows Server and Linux environments\nexperience with cloud environments (e.g. Azure) and containerisation technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, RKE)\nexperience delivering technical training or guiding users is an advantage\nfluency in both English and French\nOn a personal level, you work well both independently and as part of a team, pay close attention to detail and are a strong problem-solver with a customer-focused mindset.\nPlease note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects.
