The successful candidate will lead the team and work closely with other support functions. We are looking for an experienced fund accounting professional who can contribute immediately. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of fund accounting, strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nManaging the monthly NAV process;\nMaintaining a strong control environment for the production of daily P&Ls, official estimates and final monthly NAVs;\nManaging the Fund Accounting team;\nChairing the Valuation Committee and ensuring adherence to the valuation policy, keeping it current, comprehensive and accurate;\nProducing and reporting recurring and ad hoc management information, including track records, attribution and scenario analysis, to stakeholders across the firm, including senior management, Client Services and the Sales team;\nManaging the regulatory reporting process for the funds;\nManaging the audited financial statements process for the fund entities;\nManaging relationships with outsourced service providers, including external administrators and auditors;\nPreparing materials for the firm's governance bodies, including the Corporate Board, Fund Boards and Executive Committee;\nManaging the internal fund-of-funds rebalancing processes;\nManaging the FX hedging processes for the funds; and\nDriving continuous improvement across the wider Finance team to support the firm's growth, scalability and efficiency as it develops additional fund products for investors.\nPeople Management\nHolding informal and formal meetings with team members, including quarterly one-to-one meetings and annual appraisals;\nRecruiting and inducting new colleagues;\nPlanning, organising and regularly reviewing the team's aims, objectives and priorities;\nLeading and motivating the team to maximise individual and departmental performance;\nSetting clear standards, expectations and parameters to encourage a unified team;\nManaging poor performance effectively, when necessary, for the benefit of the individual, the team and the Company; and\nUndertaking day-to-day line management duties, including approving annual leave and managing absence.\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nExperience working within a hedge fund environment;\nDetailed knowledge of fund accounting, including equalisation credits, contingent redemptions and series accounting, is essential and will be discussed in depth during the interview;\nAbility to consider and discuss hypothetical scenarios and generate ideas relating to fund accounting;\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels;\nStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and projects within tight deadlines;\nAppropriate IT skills; and\nDemonstrable experience in effective people management.\n Educational & Professional Qualifications\nACA qualified (or equivalent) coupled with a minimum of five years of post-qualification experience; and\nEducated to degree level or higher (or equivalent).\nBenefits\nSystematica Investments provides you with excellent benefits from day 1.
