The TechOps function ensures the smooth operation of our IT Infrastructure, software and change process on a 24-hour basis. The function encompasses the following teams:\nProduction Systems Group (PSG)\nQuality Assurance (QA)\nDevOps\nInfrastructure management\nCyber security\nPSG are the first line technical support team for the Systematica trading and middle office IT platform, supporting a 24x6 global trading business. The team operates from Geneva, London, Singapore and New York.\n\nThe team is focusing on the continual delivery of the day-to-day operations of the automated trading platform. Team members need to collaborate well which often requires flexible problem solving and a commitment to understanding technically complex issues. No day is ever the same in PSG! This is an opportunity for an engineer with a demonstrated commitment to support and technical operations to join the Singapore team.\nPrimary Duties\nPreparation, support and monitoring of our proprietary trading platform throughout the trading day.\nTroubleshooting time sensitive production incidents affecting BAU with priority to trading.\nProvide key updates on release changes and latest incidents to the trading team.\nCollaboration with colleagues in Europe and America to facilitate a follow the sun system support. At the end of the Asian day handover ongoing issues or release work to the European team.\nWork with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, developers and Operations to reduce the production risk and remedy ongoing issues.\nWork with third party data vendors or executing/prime brokers to manage updates to respective parts of the system.\nUser acceptance testing and release planning of changes for production.\nDocument procedures and troubleshooting scenarios to aid future incidents.\nScripting and automation of routine tasks.\n General\nComfortable working in both Windows and Linux environment.\nProficient in scripting languages Shell, Python.\nExperience with configuration management tools, Ansible.\nSolid understanding of MS SQL Server and proficient in T-SQL.\nExperience with source control systems, Git, svn.\nExperience of Build / CI tools, TeamCity.\nHands on experience in production deployment and release management.\nMinimum 5 years work experience in trading technology or similarly complex environment\nEducation, Knowledge and Experience\nBachelors/Masters in Computer Science or Engineering.\nComfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments.\nProficient in scripting languages Shell, Python.\nExperience with configuration management tools, Ansible.\nSolid understanding of MS SQL Server and proficient in T-SQL.\nExperience with source control systems, Git, svn.\nExperience of Build / CI tools, TeamCity.\nKnowledge of Docker, Nomad, Kubernetes is a plus.\nHands on experience in production deployment and release management.\nMinimum 8 years work experience in trading technology or similarly complex environment.\n\nBenefits\nSystematica Investments provides an excellent range of benefits from day one, including private medical insurance for you and your immediate family.
