The role will be instrumental in translating business needs into clear requirements, supporting product delivery, and ensuring alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams.\nThe successful consultants will work closely with Product Owners, developers, testers, and business stakeholders to support requirements gathering, process analysis, testing, and continuous improvement. The positions will also involve supporting Agile ceremonies and performing Scrum Master responsibilities as required.\n\nLOCATION & DURATION\n\nLocation: Remote within Canada. Must align with Saskatchewan business hours (CST).\nStart Date: December 1, 2026\nDuration: Initial 4-month engagement, with potential for extension up to 24 months.\nWork Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day\nPositions Available: 3\n\nCOMPENSATION\n\nIntermediate Business Analyst (3–5 years): $75–85/hr\nSenior Business Analyst (5+ years): $85–95/hr\nCompensation is commensurate with experience, skill set, and market conditions.\n\nAI DISCLOSURE\n\nSystematix may use artificial intelligence (AI) or other automated tools to support parts of the recruitment process. No automated tools make hiring decisions.\n\nTHE ROLE – BUSINESS ANALYST (AUTO FUND DELIVERY)\n\nAs a Business Analyst, you will support the ongoing delivery, enhancement, and operational activities of a modern insurance application platform.\nWorking within an Agile product delivery environment, you will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, document business processes, develop user stories, and support testing and implementation activities.\nYou will contribute to the effective delivery of solutions built on an event-based microservices architecture, working closely with development and testing teams to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and successfully implemented.\nIn addition to core Business Analysis responsibilities, you will support Agile ceremonies, facilitate collaboration, and perform Scrum Master duties as required to maintain delivery momentum and team effectiveness.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nLead requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation activities with business and technical stakeholders.\nGather stakeholder feedback and translate business needs into clear, actionable business and technical requirements.\nDefine and document functional, non-functional, security, and testing requirements.\nDevelop and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, product backlogs, and supporting requirements documentation.\nCollaborate with Product Owners, developers, testers, and other technical stakeholders throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle.\nFacilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder discussions, discovery sessions, and process analysis activities.\nAnalyze existing business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend practical solutions.\nSupport Agile/Scrum delivery practices, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.\nPerform Scrum Master responsibilities as required, facilitating ceremonies, addressing delivery impediments, and promoting team collaboration.\nSupport testing activities, including test planning, requirements validation, defect analysis, and coordination with testing teams.\nAssist with production support activities, issue investigation, and ongoing application enhancements.\nUse Azure DevOps or similar tools to manage requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery progress.\nWork collaboratively with technical teams supporting applications built using event-based architecture and microservices.\nMonitor delivery progress, identify risks and dependencies, and communicate issues to appropriate stakeholders.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance delivery efficiency, product quality, and team effectiveness.\nREQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE\n\n3–5 years of demonstrated Business Analysis experience, preferably within technology or application development environments.\nAdvanced knowledge of requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation techniques.\nStrong experience defining business, technical, functional, non-functional, security, and testing requirements.\nAdvanced knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working within Agile software delivery teams.\nExperience using Azure DevOps or comparable tools to manage user stories, acceptance criteria, requirements, and product backlogs.\nDemonstrated experience facilitating stakeholder workshops, requirements sessions, and business process discussions.\nStrong business process analysis and documentation capabilities.\nProven ability to translate complex business needs into clear requirements that can be understood and implemented by technical teams.\nExperience collaborating with Product Owners, software developers, quality assurance teams, and other technical stakeholders.\nExperience supporting application testing, defect management, and requirements validation.\nAbility to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a fast-paced Agile delivery environment.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively to collaborative, cross-functional teams.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\nPrevious experience within the insurance industry, particularly automobile insurance, claims management, or policy administration.\nExperience supporting custom-built enterprise applications within modern DevOps delivery environments.\nFamiliarity with event-based architecture, microservices, and .NET application environments.\nExperience working with development teams using Azure cloud services and modern application development practices.\nPrevious experience performing Scrum Master responsibilities or facilitating Agile ceremonies.\nExperience supporting production applications, operational enhancements, and continuous delivery initiatives.\nFamiliarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) concepts and product-domain delivery structures.\nExperience working within regulated financial services or insurance environments.\nCertified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA), or equivalent certification.\nCertified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification.\nSaskatchewan-based candidates are preferred; however, qualified candidates located elsewhere in Canada will be considered.\nABOUT THE ROLE\n\nThis is an initial 4-month engagement supporting the ongoing development, enhancement, and operational delivery of a modern insurance technology platform, with the potential for extension up to 24 months.\nThe selected consultants will join established Agile product teams, working alongside internal Business Analysts to strengthen delivery capacity, support competing priorities, and contribute to the successful evolution of a custom-built enterprise application.\nThis is a Business Analyst position, not a hands-on software development role.
